Sometimes, Interdisciplinary Textual Analysis Just Doesn't Cut It

Today is one of those days where interdisciplinary textual analysis pales in comparison to the cathartic and emotional power of cinema. Don't mistake the short length of this post for insubstantiality. Just watch the clip posted below and marvel at the human heart with me.

This goes without saying, but... spoilers ahead. In fact, without the proper context, the scene below will probably be completely wasted on you. If you haven't seen Gattaca (1997), skip the clip and just put it at the top of your Netflix queue.
